Who are "Sandcastle Communications?"
After causing damage to my yard, Google Fiber instructed me to negotiate directly with their 3rd party contractor for repair and reimbursement. However, no one at Google has provided me any contact information for the contractor. The only contact information I have is an employee's phone number that I was given by the installer that damaged my yard.
The employee from Google's 3rd party contractor has only identified the company as Sandcastle Communications. With no other info given, I've done my best to gather what I can about the business online.
What I've Found
- The closest match to a company I can find is a Sandcastle Communications LLC, a Foreign Limited Liability Company in Texas.
- Sandcastle Communications LLC in Texas appears to be a branch of an Illinois-based company by the same name, with branches in Texas and Florida.
- Sandcastle Communications LLC appears to have first registered to work in Texas recently, July 12, 2023.
- The registered address for Sandcastle Communications LLC in Illinois does not appear to belong to Sandcastle, but is instead a Coworking Space that allows you to pay $50 a month to use their mailing address.
- The employee I spoke with has never made an attempt to come see the damage to my property, and has communicated with me only using a North Carolina area code (980).
- The employee I spoke with gave an email with the domain
sandcastlecommunications.com
. This domain has no website, and there are 0 references to it when searching Google. - The contact information for the registered owner of the domain
sandcastlecommunications.com
is private.
With this in mind, I don't have a high level of confidence that an invoice for yard repair is going to be fulfilled after I pay out of pocket for it. You might consider whether you can afford to repair damage to your property out of pocket before signing up with Google Fiber.
